2018 SIOR Convention in Warsaw

Updated: Jul 20, 2018

Team Earnhart member Doug visited Poland this Summer for the 2018 European Conference. The four day conference was held in Warsaw, Poland, at the Hotel Sofitel Warsaw Victoria, where SIOR members attended lectures, listened to guest speakers, met at networking events, and went on guided tours of historic Warsaw. Speakers at the event included the former president of Poland, Lech Walesa, renowned author and employment guru Dr. Paul Redmond, and European SIOR President Renata Osiecka.

The lectures and panel discussions at this years conference all converged around a theme of globalization, topics ranging from "Misthinking Globalization" to “Generating the Future". SIOR panels discussed the impact of Millennial trends in the workplace as well as what CEO's are flagging as critical factors in their business' path. Panelists included top executives and CEOs throughout the real estate industry, including representatives form Panattoni, NGKF, and Amazon.

It wasn't all business at the conference, members got to have fun as well. In addition to guided tours through Poland highlighting history and architecture, members also participated in several networking events and a formal Gala at the Royal Castle on Friday evening. This truly exceptional setting has hosted diplomatic ceremonies, scientific conferences, symposia, concerts, and international conferences, and SIOR members can now count themselves on the list of honored guests of the Castle.

Doug and his family also got to do some sight seeing of their own, and toured all over Warsaw and Kraków. History is a long time family hobby, so they pursued all opportunities to engage with the rich history of the small European country, travelling to war memorials and points of interest in both Warsaw and Kraków.

Team Earnhart's 2018 trip to Poland provided a great experience both professionally and personally, combining business opportunity with family bonding. We can't wait for the next trip!
